Candy are a 4 piece all-female recording rock band comprising:
Mary David - Lead guitar and Vocals, composition and arrangement, Patricia Robert - Rhythm guitar and vocals.
Connie David - Drums and vocals. Nancy Gregory - Bass guitar and vocals.
Candy’s own lyrics are in Bahasa Malaysia and English, they also play covers in English. Covers include – Sinead O’
Connor, Joan Jett, Tracy Chapman, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner, Red Hot Chillie Peppers,
Nirvana, Iron Maiden, Cranberries, Offspring, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Four non-blondes, Natalie Imbruglia,
Pink, Jewel, Michelle Branch, Alanis Morissette, Shakira, Deep Purple, Guns & Roses, Avril Lavinge, Evanescence,
Ella, Shakira, The Beatles and many others.
Candy have their own sound and lighting systems for shows up to 2000 pax.

were bought to KL in 1996. They were entered into the Malaysian
book of records as the first all female rock band in Malaysia
Candy found fame with their first album “Candy”, which went Platinum,
the hit single “Akan Ku Tunggu” was released in 1997. Their second
album “Hot” was released in 1999 and they plan to start work on their
3rd album shortly.
The band has played extensively in both East and West Malaysia,
Indonesia and Singapore. With radio and TV appearances in all
these countries and music videos in Malaysia.
Candy favour large concerts, one off appearances or functions, but
have played longer hotel bookings in Malaysia. Their style is Rock,
but this can be ‘softened’ as appropriate, for dinner functions etc.
